 The Rich Street Urchin.

Bael had now found himself in this town’s center. He never really liked this city; it was where he uses to live. Being here gave his parents a chance to actually find him. The only thing he liked about his family was that they were his family. He hated how they acted, how they abused money. It was why he ran away. He just wanted to live a humble life. The only thing he kept from that family was some traveling money, his given name, and some clothes. Everything else he left behind.

Right now Bael had a good chance of not being noticed. Not like he was hiding but he wasn’t even sure if they were looking for him. They possibly didn’t care, as long as they had their money they could live on with everyone else dead. They were greedy and selfish. He had thought about killing them a bunch of times but decided against it.

Walking through the crowd he sat at a bench and let out a sigh. Why did he come here for again? He couldn’t remember right now but he would try and let something jog his memory. Usually he didn’t forget stuff like this. Maybe he was just here to walk around.

Mardi walked, taking in all of the many sites around her with open awe. Her hair was still untied and damp from her morning swim, which she indulged in nearly every day she had been in Poll, but she carried her pack over a shoulder - it was becoming more and more uncommon for her. The people crowded around to buy what others had to offer, meet loved ones, or just seemed to stand around in groups talking.

She had never seen so many people standing around talking at once, everyone where she had come from had always worked, all day and all night some of them. She had known few to stand around casually and talk all day. Didn't these people work?

Mardi stopped briefly to marvel at a man playing a flute. She took the chance to re-adjust the sword on her hip to allow her legs a bit more comfort with the walk. As small as some considered the village, the place seemed intimidating vast. And the people seemed different to those back home. She figured it was because of the paved roads. If her village had had paved stones she was sure the people there would've been proud of it too.

She let out a sigh of resignation. She had no idea where she was, and no idea what she was looking for. Mardi had only decided to get to know the town better, but she was already more confused about it then she had been before she had started. She glanced about herself, looking for someone who she could ask for help, but everywhere she looked people were busy. They wouldn't give her the time, she knew. She spotted a bench, noticing with relief that there was someone sitting on it; alone. They couldn't be too busy, it didn't take more than a moment to give directions.

Mardi strolled over to the boy, smiling.
'Hello there' She said, sitting on the bench next to him. 'I was just wondering if you would be able to help me?'

Bael looked at the girl that came up to him. He was curious as to what she wanted and almost returned her smile. But he just didn't for some reason. He nodded his hello back and then spoke it. "Hello to you too." he said as the girl sat down next to him. He thought about what she asked then. "Well depends on what it is, but I will try to help in any way I can. I don't mind really." he said knowing he had nothing to do this whole day. So helping this older girl might prove of some what entertaining.

OOC: Sorry for not posting for a while, haven't felt like it, then forgot, and I still don't feel like it so short post.

[ooc/ it's only a problem cause I forgot what I had already posted :P but easy fixed]

Mardi grinned, happy that she didn't have to look around for help as well as where she wanted to go. She knew it would be nice to have a guide who knew their way around, and who had the time to, but she would settle for a general explanation of where she was would be more then enough.
It would be excellent, in fact. She thought the boy to look quite troubled, but she knew it would only take a moment, so smiled in a friendly manner.

'Well, I really just dunno where I am' She sighed, gesturing out toward the people. They all still looked to be caught up in their own worlds, which Mardi thought was sad. They didn't seem to notice anything that didn't concern them - of course, that would be a good thing sometimes. Living in a small town, everyone knew everything about everybody, but maybe it was nice to have secrets. She caught her mind quickly, forcing herself instead to tuck a strand of her drying hair behind an ear.

'So, I guess I want to know where I am..' she said after the long pause.
