Mardi grinned at the suggested idea. Jumping to her feet in excitement, and somewhat startled by Serea's movements. She glanced to her pile of belongings on the bank. She would not leave them, not just because it would be better flying clothed, but because her sword held a lot of personal value.
Mardi waited until Serea had stopped moving, marvelling at her massive wings and her pure elegance. She didn't hesitate further, waded from the water toward her things. 'I would love to give it a try' Mardi said as she grabbed her shirt, pulling it over her head in an awkward rush. The shirt stuck to her wet skin slightly, and she didn't bother to do all the buttons up - there was time to do that later.
Mardi tugged on her jeans and slipped her sword over her head, arranging it to sit comfortably on her hip before plopping herself down on the ground to slip her boots on. She dressing quickly despite the fact she was still wet and her jeans had been a bit difficult to put on. Her boots were no where near as picky, and slipped surprising easily onto her foot. She stood, starting to button her shirt on the way, glancing briefly at Cody with a smile.

Cody followed Mardi's example, and reluctantly put on his boots. He didn't want to, but he knew he couldn't leave them behind. It tok him a little longer than MArdi.
He didn't put his shirt back on. Instead, he tied it around his waist. He expected the wind would be enugh to dry them off quickly, so he would put his dry shirt back on then.
"Is there anywhere special you want to go?"

Mardi consider the offer as she finish buttoning her shirt. She didn't really know the place, how could she request a place to go? She tied the bottom of her, now damp, brown shirt in a knot above her midriff. 'Well..' She murmured, casting her azure eyes at Serea. 'I haven't been here very long' she answered with a shrug 'I wouldn't know where to go.'
Mardi knew the way she had come into the village, through the main gates, which she now supposed wasn't an often thing for newcomers to do. She had, although she would often veer away for times, stayed on the path as her father had directed her. He had been given a map as a gift a while back when her uncle had returned from a trip here. She still had the map, back in her bag at the inn. She knew only the places that were shown there.
'You can chose,' Mardi offered 'I'll bet you know some nice locations?' She waited for Cody's lead, of course, as she didn't want to startle Serea. And she surely didn't want to appear pretentious.

Cody raised his arms to let Serea know he was ready to be lifted onto her back. He fleetingly felt that he should be embarrased, but he shook the thought away. Mardi would understand that he couldn't get up on his own.
"We could go back to the waterfall, or somewhere nereer town. What do you think Serea?"

Serea moved her long neck around and lowered her head to Cody so he could put his arms around her and she could lift him up. A smile crossed her face, I think I know of another place we shall visit be fore the falls. I have yet to bring even you there. I assur you it will be lovely.
Just the thought of that place made her eyes light up, the one place she was taken to by her old friend. Where she first learned about other dragons and what she was. The home of her ancestors, the home of her kin. The birthplace of dragons.

Mardi silently marveled at the idea. Closer to town would save her the trip, not that she hated the walk through the forest. It felt more homey then the village had to her. She wouldn't have cared if she had been lost here, she would have relished the idea. Though it may feel strange with the absence of her backpack; it provided the small comforts of familiarity.
She watched as Serea helped Cody up, and wondered if it would hurt the dragon if she clamored up there. She knew it wasn't the reason Serea helped Cody up, but it could be a possibility. She chuckled out loud for the silly thought, of course it wouldn't hurt the dragon, her scales were not soft or porous. Although she may get them dirty with her boots.
'I hope you don't mind my dirty boots Serea' Mardi said as she cautiously approached the dragon's side. She wouldn't really know if the dragon had said she didn't or if she hated the idea of getting dirt on her beautiful scales, but she climbed up as carefully as she could manage, joining Cody upon the dragon's back.

Serea tried a smile in her response. Dirt did not stay on her long, usually it slid off or washed away. Once the two of them were seated in the saddle and she was sure no one would fall the their dead the opened her wings. Raising her head she opened her mouth and let out a loud roar that rumbled in the sky like thunder.
Smooth streamlined body stood up tall and her wings stretched out feeling the wind rush against them. She had to wait for that moment when her legs were coiled and wings ready to spring up. With one powerful flap of the leathery white wings she rose quickly from the ground leaving the world behind.
Take off was always shaky since she was fighting the wind, but once she was up in the air she was weightless. Wings opened wide catching the air and gently flapping them she circled the river that was now under them. She let out another roar and let a stream of flame burst forth, licking at her ivory fangs as they left her mouth.

'Take us where you want, Serea. I trust you.' Cody thought to her.
The wind ripped past them as they took of. He shivered. Maybe putting on his shirt would have been a good idea. It was to late now though. He was too difficult a manuver to pull while flying, at least until he grew more comfortable.
Craning his head around, he tried to see how Mardi was taking her first flight.

Mardi struggled to resist the urge to cling onto Cody as Serea launched her magnificent body into the air. It was certainly a bumpy ride, but surely it wouldn't be as difficult the whole way. Instead, she clung to the saddle, remaining as upright as she could. She wondered where they were going, but waved off the thought. Wherever the pair would take her would be good, even if it was a swamp; flying was wonderful enough.
Mardi jumped when Serea's roar filled the sky. It would've been deafening, if the wind hadn't been blaring in her ears. She offered a grin when Cody turned to her. She was thankful she hadn't tied her hair before they had taken off, it was bad enough loosing a hair tie in the water, she would have absolutely no chance of finding it if she lost it now. At least her hair would dry faster the usual, and it no longer mattered that she had been wet when she had put her clothes on.
Mardi felt the excitement cursing through her blood, the adrenaline. She would probably be thinking about this ride for a very long time, there was no way she could stop thinking about this. She found herself wishing once again she had a dragon at her side.

Her long lean frame seemed to cut through the sky like a knife, she was fast in the sky, and would do good in a race. Her wings beat against a wind that was trying to push her down to the ground, but she had mastered the wind, she was a dragon, beast of the sky. This was her element, that and fire or ice. She was a mix of everything.
Ducking her head down she pulled her wings to her side and started to drop down with a smooth transition. It was down bellow them, but she needed more sky time to land. With one flap of her wings she sent herself back into the air with a slight arch. her neck craned down with her maw open wide letting air rush into her lungs. This was a rush even for her, but it was always fun to be on the edge of danger when flying.
